ONLINE PUBLICATION LAUNCH OF “ROBERT HOULE – LIFE AND WORK” BY SHIRLEY MADILL

Congratulations to Robert Houle on the launch of this outstanding on-line publication by the Arts Canada Institute entitled Robert Houle – Life and Work by Shirley Madill. I am truly honoured to have been invited by Robert Houle to participate in Robert Houle’s Paris/Ojibwa in Paris, France in 2010.

“Houle reconciles and synthesizes contemporary art trends and Indigenous traditions, encouraging a renewed vision of the world that regains the missing caverns of First Nations cultural memory. His work exposes issues affecting Indigenous peoples, including land rights, fighting for the rights of Indigenous art and artists, and decolonizing the museum and the self.”
