Update 2026: All works that were consigned to Heffel are now in the Collection of the Artist or Sold.

Archived Post 2026:

Heffel formerly represented Barry Ace in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver and offered a number of newly available works through private sale that featured a remarkable 19-piece series (COVID-19 now in the McMichael Canadian Art Collection), which reveals an intimate glimpse into the life of a contemporary artist during a global pandemic.

Barry Ace is a practicing visual artist and currently lives in Ottawa. He is a debendaagzijig (citizen) of M’Chigeeng First Nation, Odawa Mnis (Manitoulin Island), Ontario, Canada. Ace’s mixed media and assemblage textile works explore various aspects of cultural continuity and the confluence of the historical and contemporary.
