ACE’S DIGITAL BLING TO BE FEATURED IN NEW YORK CITY JEWELRY WEEK AND METALSMITH MAGAZINE

L.A PAI Gallery (Ottawa) submitted Ace’s latest digital bling to the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG) call for works for their upcoming exhibition to be held during New York City Jewelry Week from November 14 – 20, 2022. Ace’s work was selected for inclusion in the in-person exhibition and in the November issue of Metalsmith Magazine.

SNAG was founded in 1969 and is a nonprofit educational organization with around 1800 members worldwide. Comprising all aspects of contemporary jewelry and metal-smithing, they inspire creativity, encourage education, and foster community. SNAG envisions a diverse jewelry and metals community engaging in thoughtful conversation and critical discourse while preserving tradition and embracing innovation.

This year, the exhibition Hope is Resiliency is a multi-faceted event and sale that seeks to highlight SNAG’s diverse membership to several audiences. Submissions were considered for three main components: an in-person exhibition at New York City Jewelry Week (NYCJW); inclusion in Metalsmith magazine, Vol 42 No 3 (November); and an online exhibition. Selections were made by jurors Angelik Vizcarrondo-Laboy & Nora McCarthy for the in-person exhibition and magazine.

Each November, the New York City Jewelry Week platform hosts an annual jewelry event, a week-long celebration that invites a global audience to experience the world of jewelry in NYC. Their hybrid program blends in person experiences with virtual engagement and programming.
